Tum Tum and the Evil Jellies (DEMO)
Tum Tum is a lovely little witch in a mission to find her two witch friends, Blim Blim and Pom Pom, who have gone missing after some evil jellies mysteriously showed up and swallowed them.
[PT-BR]
Tum Tum é uma amável bruxinha em uma missão para encontrar suas duas amigas bruxas, Blim Blim e Pom Pom, que estão desaparecidas desde que gelatinas malignas misteriosamente surgiram e engoliram elas.
This game is a mix of tactical and traditional RPGs. You can walk around the world and encounter jellies, and then fight them in a hexagonal battle grid.
The project is still in development and the version available here is a demo. It is recommended to download the desktop version as the graphics quality is better and the save files from the demo can be used in the future full version more easily.
Suggestions and bug reports are very welcome!

Merry Christmas! Nyaaah!!
AAAAA QUE AMORZINHO!! T~~~~T <33333 Obg, feliz natal e ano novo <333
Nice game. The attacks could have some indication of range like the walking has, also it would be good to be able to move after an attack if you didn't move that turn.
Thank you! I added a range indicator now. Enabling movement after attack would require some-rebalancing, but if you didn't move that turn at least your next turn comes faster! (I'll add this in a manual in the future)
Thank you for this wonderful game!
Here's my letsplay of your game! (I may be mispronouncing the names of the characters, I apologize in advance for this)
What I like
Sugestions and bugs:
This is so lovely, thank you sm!! I'm still watching the video, it's taking a long time because I'm taking many many notes XD It's so helpful! And you got a very nice voice <3 Oh and the pronunciation of the names is actually very very close to how I say them XD (they're in Portuguese btw)
From the video I see many of the problems is due to the lack of tutorials. I've played RPGs during my whole life, so I made the menus/systems/etc with the average RPG player in mind. It's very insightful to see how players who aren't used to the genre will interpret stuff! It gave me many ideas of how to make it easier to learn how to play. I'll certainly add tutorials in the final version, so hopefully it'll solve most of these problems.
(also LOL you found the debug menu ;u; this wasn't supposed to happen hahah)
I'm glad to be helpful and that you liked it!I think the tutorial is a great idea.
(I love finding things, ahaha)
Awesome project! The story and gameplay reminds me of "Rhapsody a musical adventure", it reads like a child's fairy tale. The overworld and NPCs really makes this game cozy. Since I know this project was made in love2D make sure to post it on love2D subreddit people will really like it there and will bring some attention to both the game and the engine you're creating. (also consider sending it to the game from scratch youtube channel which covers game engines as well). On a techinical level this is really impressive and there are a lot of systems already in place that can be used to create a bigger project going forward.
One feedback I can give is to try to center the camera back to the player(at least to the one who's turn is active) when it's the player turn again, this isn't a issue on most battles but I had a bit of trouble with it on the boss battle where the camera goes to the back of the stage. Like I said before, this is overall a really cozy game and I'm excited to see more of it!
Thank you so much!! I'm glad to see someone reaching the demo's boss, I was a bit afraid there could be a bug or maybe it would be too boring. And I've never heard of this game you mentioned, it looks a great reference to me, thanks!
About the camera thing, it should already do that if I understood it right... maybe it's a mouse problem? Did you play with mouse or keyboard? It moves the screen when the cursor touches the screen borders. If it's not that I'd really appreciate a video (if you can, of course).
Again thank you for the feedback, it helps me a lot!!
I've played with mouse only, up to this point. there I had to play with the keyboard because the camera got a bit stuck behind the boss.
